The "Youths Against Pandemics" project is a new digital platform designed to put young people at the forefront of the fight against HIV, TB, and Malaria in Cameroon.

It is an initiative of the Community Engagement Strategic Initiative (CESI) Cameroon which is a Global Fund–supported initiative designed to strengthen the meaningful engagement of civil society, communities, and key populations in national and local health decision-making processes. It focuses on HIV, Tuberculosis (TB), and Malaria responses, ensuring that affected communities, especially young people, are not only beneficiaries but also active contributors to shaping health programs and policies in.

In Cameroon, despite significant investments in combating HIV, TB, and Malaria, youth participation in decision-making remains limited. Many young people lack access to information, platforms, and opportunities to influence policies and programs that affect their health and well-being. The CESI project responds to this gap by creating inclusive spaces for youth voices to be amplified and for their priorities to inform the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) and other Global Fund-related structures.

The project also recognizes that youth-led advocacy and leadership are key drivers for sustainable change. By building the capacity of youth advisors and creating direct linkages with CCM processes, CESI ensures that health responses are more inclusive, equitable, and impactful.
